Lev Maps

Project

With daily dog walks as a starting point for exploration, the Lev Maps app fosters connection between dog owners, their friends, their area, and local pet-centered businesses. In 2023 they sought out help with a rebrand that would help them better capture their target audience (gen z women) and provide them with a less outdated aesthetic. We framed Lev as the digital leash between you and your neighborhood.

Learnings

I realized that a lot of great brands I saw in the wild focused on one distinct “move” with the other elements taking a secondary role and reinforcing consistency, so I tried that concept here with the leash inspired line language. I also learned that the brand process doesn’t always need to be linear, and that sometimes it’s worth asking what the most valuable next step might be instead of automatically jumping to the next thing that’s been prescribed.
